Booking terms

Terms & conditions

Direct booking opens soon. Until then, please book via Airbnb or Booking.com, whose terms apply to your booking.

Once direct booking opens, these terms will apply when you book The Hogg’s directly with us, through this website, by email or by phone. Please read them before you book: when you pay, you agree to them on behalf of everyone in your group.

If you booked through Airbnb or Booking.com, that platform’s terms, payment schedule and cancellation policy apply to your booking instead of sections 3 and 4 below. Our house rules and safety notes (sections 6 and 7) apply to every stay.

1. Who we are

The Hogg’s Northumberland Wellness Retreat is run by Chris Hogg, trading as The Hogg’s Northumberland Wellness Retreat (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at stay@thehoggswellnessretreat.co.uk. Our full contact details are on our contact page.

“You” means the lead guest who makes the booking. The lead guest must be at least 18 and must be one of the guests staying.

2. Your booking

3. Prices and payment

4. If you cancel

Please tell us by email at stay@thehoggswellnessretreat.co.uk. Your cancellation takes effect on the day we receive your email (UK time).

Bookings are non-refundable. If you cancel, or don’t arrive, we don’t refund what you’ve paid.

5. If we have to cancel or change something

6. Your stay and house rules

7. Hot tub, sauna and cold plunge

The spa is the best part of a stay here, and we want everyone to enjoy it safely. Please read the safety notes in the house, and make sure everyone in your group follows them.

8. Damage and cleaning

9. Our responsibility to you

10. Problems and complaints

If anything isn’t right, please tell us during your stay so we can put it right while you’re there. Email stay@thehoggswellnessretreat.co.uk. We’ll reply as soon as we can, and in any case within 5 working days. If we can’t settle it between us, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice.

11. Your personal information

Our privacy notice explains how we use your information. By law we keep a register of guests aged 16 and over (the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972), so we’ll ask the lead guest for each guest’s full name and nationality, and some extra details for certain overseas guests.
